Pacman’s 40th b-day: Mother of all parties

MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao is throwing a lavish party on Monday to celebrate his 40th birthday in General Santos City.

Over a thousand guests, including family, relatives, friends and VIPs, will troop to the KCC Convention Center for the party.

Millions will be spent and given away by Pacquiao, who arrived in GenSan yesterday to resume his training for his Jan. 19 fight with Adrien Broner in Las Vegas.

A member of Pacquiao’s inner circle told The STAR yesterday that four brand-new cars and a pick-up truck and 80 motorcycles will be raffled off during the affair.

“Organizers have also prepared around 1,300 giveaways, from TV sets to refrigerators and other appliances like rice cooker,” said David Sisson.

President Duterte was invited to the affair. But Duterte, who graced Pacquiao’s birthday party the past two years, begged off this time.

Pacquiao is known for his legendary generosity. The past few days he’s been moving around like Santa Claus.

Word is that he spent over a million pesos when he threw a party for some members of the media earlier this week. A brand-new car was raffled off.

Also this week, Pacquiao treated members of his household in Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village, and members of his security staff to a Christmas party.

“He gave away over P2 million,” said a staff member.

For Pacquiao, it’s the season of giving.
