‘Bakbakan’ grand finals up
MANILA, Philippines — The two-day grand finals of FIGBA National Bakbakan 12-Stag Derby gets going today and continues on Saturday at the spacious Roligon Mega Cockpit.
Thirty-two participants with scores of 6.5 points each will compete in today’s 5-stag finale (80 fights).
For the competition on Saturday, 110 fights are already assured (44 qualifiers with 7 points each).
Action starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Provincial gamefowl breeders competed in the regional finals at the jampacked Roligon last Monday (160 fights).
FIGBA (International Federation of Game Breeders Associations) president Ricoy Palmares Jr. said the 2018 ‘Bakbakan’ drew more than 8,200 entries.
‘Bakbakan’ is co-presented by Thunderbird –Passion of the Filipino Nation, B-MEG Integra Power Maxx, and Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialist in cooperation with Hagibis, Salto, LDI, Pit Fighter, VNJ Distributors and Mad Science.
