MANILA, Philippines— The University of the Philippines Manila has cancelled afternoon classes on Wednesday for the second UAAP Finals game.

On a social media post on Monday, UP Manila’s Office of the Chancellor announced that classes will be suspended at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to give the community a chance to watch Game 2 between the UP Fighting Maroons and Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles.

The two teams are set to face off at the Araneta Coliseum to vie for the UAAP men’s basketball tournament championship title.

Last week, UP Manila also cancelled afternoon classes for the game between the Fighting Maroons and the Adamson University’s Soaring Falcons.

The Wednesday game will set the championship fate of the UP men’s basketball team as the finals was set for best-of-three series. ADMU last Saturday defeated UP with a nine-point lead.

Meanwhile, other campuses of UP announced that they will set up live stream of the UAAP Finals game on Wednesday.

These are in the following venues:

UP also held a send-off mass for the UP MBT on Tuesday afternoon.
