Petro Gazz books last semis seat in PVL

MANILA, Philippines — Petro Gazz booked the last semifinal seat as it thumped Adamson-Akari, 25-21, 25-9, 25-15 in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan yesterday.

Jessey de Leon smashed 14 points with all but one coming off attacks, Cherry Nunag swung 13, Alyssa Layug came off the bench in the first set and went on to finish with 11 as the Angels improved to 8-5 and completed the Last Four.

Petro Gazz thus sent off Pocari Sweat-Air Force and Tacloban, both at fifth with 6-7 records and joined BanKo-Perlas, Creamline and Ateneo-Motolite in the next round.
