Bakbakan derby goes to Roligon
MANILA, Philippines — The FIGBA National Bakbakan 12–Stag Derby goes to the spacious Roligon Mega Cockpit beginning tomorrow, with more than 6,000 entries participating.
To accommodate the expected influx of entries from the provinces, two sets of national eliminations will be held at Roligon, said FIGBA (International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations) president Ricoy Palmares Jr.
The schedule of 3-stag elims and 4-stag semifinals: Nov. 19, 21, 24 and Nov. 26; Nov. 28, Dec. 1, 3 and 8.
The 5-stag final rounds: Dec. 10 (4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 and 6 points), Dec. 13 (6.5 points) and Dec. 15 (7 points).
“Only nationally-banded 2018 ‘Bakbakan’ stags will be accepted,” said Palmares.
Bakbakan is co-presented by Thunderbird–Passion of the Filipino Nation, B-MEG Integra Power Maxx and Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialist in cooperation with Hagibis, Salto, Pit Fighter, LDI, VNJ Distributors and Mad Science.
