Cool Smashers out to get back on track vs Warays

Kristina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Creamline guns to regain traction as it collides with Tacloban while Petro Gazz hopes to keep its momentum going against Pocari Sweat-Air Force in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan today.

The Cool Smashers saw their six-game roll snap against the Ateneo-Motolite Lady Eagles in Batangas City last Oct. 28.

They dropped to third with their 6-2 card behind the pacesetting Katipunan-based volleybelles (9-2) and the second-running BanKo-Perlas Spikers (7-2) who each picked up victories over the weekend.

But bolstered by a complete lineup with Michele Gumabao and Risa Sato back in action, Creamline hopes to quickly get back on the winning track as it eyes a share of the second spot with BanKo-Perlas.

“We have to train together, that’s what coach Tai (Bundit) said. Most of our games, we fought with an incomplete roster because of prior commitments. Risa (Sato) will also be back from the Unigames. Hopefully we will be able to prepare better,” said   Cool Smashers skipper Alyssa Valdez.
