LGBA ‘breeder’ race heats up

MANILA, Philippines — Contenders step up their respective bids for the Breeder of the Year honors as the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) stag derby circuit holds a three-stag elims today at the Pasay City Cockpit.

All qualifiers of Oct. 19 and 22 elims will advance to the five-stag finals on Friday where the top 10 winners of the LGBA Breeder of the Year title will be known, according to LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.

The breeder of the year winner will receive P1 million while the first runner-up and third placer will get P300,000 and P200,000, respectively.

Meanwhile, the AEJ and Pasia Brothers five-stag derby will unfold on Oct. 29, also at the PCC.
