Stellar field to vie in LGBA second leg

MANILA, Philippines — The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) derby roster is expected to swell with more entries joining the Breeder of the Year race when the second leg is held Friday at the Pasay City Cockpit.

Three hundred fifty-eight entries have been accounted for heading to the three-stag elims of the event sponsored by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 with the qualifiers to clash for the championship on Monday.

Leading the race with three victories each are Joel Ocsena (Double A Here I Am), Ricky Magtuto/NMC (Peejay Camsur), Allan Abonio (Mt. Purro), Ren Castro (Ilokanos RNC), Honey Yu (Honey 11), Hermie Pagtalunan (Franzopia), Jimmy Junsay (Sto. Nino Jared) and Lito Orillaza (LA ESM Jobo).

Eloy Bello (Blue Hub Seek Air), Momoy Adam (Princess Oprah) and Carlos Tumpalan (Quadro Primero 3), on the other hand, remained in the hunt with 2.5 points apiece.
