Angels, Lady Warriors clash as PVL goes to Bulacan

Kristina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — PetroGazz tries to get back on track while Pocari Sweat-Air Force, Iriga-Navy and Tacloban seek to recover from opening game setbacks as action in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference shifts to the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan today.

The Angels, victors last Saturday against the Tacloban Fighting Warays, 25-22, 25-14, 26-24, returned to action the next day at the Imus Sports Complex but dropped a 22-25, 17-25, 25-22, 17-25 loss to the quick-starting BanKo-Perlas Spikers for a 1-1 card.

But the Angels look to bounce back in another road game against a Pocari Sweat-Air Force side also out to rebound from a four-set defeat to the Ateneo-Motolite squad last Sunday.

They clash at 4 p.m. with Paneng Mercado, Cherry Nunag, Mary Mendrez, Chie Saet and Jonah Sabete expected to spearhead the Angels’ bid for a second win.
