Chot Reyes steps down as Gilas coach

MANILA, Philippines - Chot Reyes on Tuesday announced he is stepping down as head coach of the Philippine men’s basketball team.

Reyes took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying he will continue to contribute to the team “in a different capacity, focusing on the 2023 program.”

Yeng Guiao has assumed the coaching duties for Team Philippines in the September window of the FIBA World Cup qualifier. The Nationals play Iran in Tehran on Thursday.
