Junsay aces top LGBA

MANILA, Philippines — Jimmy Junsay of Batangas scored a string of victories to dominate the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association seven-stag at the Pasay City Cockpit last Friday.

Junsay’s entries stamped their class in the three-stag elims with Sto. Niño Guadalupe Jared posting three points, Sto. Niño Jared 2.5 points and Guadalupe Jared two points.

Rhona Bullecer (Pililla Mam Rhona), Eric Kasilag (Eric Nog GF) and Jun Sevilla (JRS Batch 65) also tallied three victories each while Carlos Tumpalan (Quadro Primero 3) scored 2.5 points.

Action in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, resumes today with more than 50 participants vying in another three-stag elims.

LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said the remaining group members will compete on Sept. 14 and 17 with the four-stag finals set Sept. 21 and 29 and Oct. 1.

The LGBA circuit has lured more than 160 entries as of yesterday.
