Fierce duel up in LGBA derby
MANILA, Philippines — Action in the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association Breeder of Year stag derby circuit heats up today with the staging of round three at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Jervy Maglunob (Triple J Farm Pasay Dec. 7), Rey Tolentino (RMT OGK), Doc Ayong Lorenzo (EDL Excellence), Anthony Jacinto (GTO Mahiwaga) and Mercado brothers (Utol C3) have posted three victories each to show the way in the event sponsored by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
The first leg, a seven-stag derby, has a guaranteed prize of P4 million.
LGBA members may field regularly banded stags for the remaining three-stag elims on Sept. 10, 14 and 17.
Meanwhile, those with scores of one, 1.5 and two points will compete on Sept. 21 and 29 while the grand finals (for 2.5 and 3 pointers) will be held on Oct.1.
