70 fights up in LPC derby

MANILA, Philippines — The 2018 stagfighting season kicks off at Las Piñas Coliseum on Wednesday with the Bakbakan Na TV eight-stag derby series with more than 70 fights on tap.

Scheduled nationwide, the BNTV Cup offers a guaranteed prize of P5 million, according to organizer and veteran derbyist Joey Sy.

Meanwhile, the LPC’s 38th anniversary six-stag derby will be held next on Aug. 29, Sept. 5, 12 and 19.

Locally banded stags of FIGBA (Bakbakan), PFGB (Digmaan) and LGBA Young will be accepted in the event to be hosted by Mayor Nene Aguilar.
