Rich purse staked in Las Piñas derby

MANILA, Philippines — More than P1.1 million in guaranteed prize will be up for grabs when Las Piñas Coliseum holds its 38th anniversary six-stag derby next month.

Three elimination rounds will kick off the event on Aug. 29, Sept. 5 and 12 (three-stag) with the grand finals, also a three-stag event, slated on Sept. 19.

The accepted wingbands are all locally banded stags of FIGBA (Bakbakan), PFGB (Digmaan) and LGBA Young.

Entries (1.7 to 2.150 kgs.) must be submitted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. one day before the event.

To be hosted by Mayor Nene Aguilar, the four-day stagfest pegs its entry fee at P13,000 with a minimum bet of P9,900.
