MANILA, Philippines – The last two teams standing in the 2018 Milcu Sports Basketball presented by Got Skills Adidas Summer Showcase hail from Intramuros.

Neighboring schools Letran and Lyceum have set up a showdown for all the marbles following separate well-earned wins last Tuesday at the Trinity University Gym in Quezon City.

The top-seeded Knights rode the hot hands of swingman Allen Mina to down La Salle, 62-60.

Mina sniped five triples for a total of 15 points on top of three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Big men CP Pamulaklakin and Daryl Pascual also connived for three treys of their own as Letran’s outside shooting proved to be the difference between the two teams in the close contest.

Taane Samuel posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double while Andrei Caracut chipped in 12 points for La Salle, which bowed out of the tournament after an impressive 5-3 showing in the elimination round.

Also leaning on a balanced attack were the Pirates who counted four players in double-digits to put down FEU, 64-54.

CJ Perez and Jaycee Marcelino both stuffed the stat sheet with the former collecting 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals and the latter tallying 12 markers, nine boards, four dimes, and three pilfers.

MJ Ayaay and Jayvee Marcelino also scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, as Lyceum started strong and finished even stronger.

For the Tamaraws, energetic forward Jack Gloria showed the way with 16 points. They finish their campaign following a promising 5-3 performance in the eliminations.

The “Battle of Intramuros” in the Finals of the Got Skills Summer Showcase tips off on Thursday morning still at the Trinity University Gym.
