Coach: Knights ready for NCAA

MANILA, Philippines — Coach Jeff Napa said  he is happy just to see his players give their best effort. The Letran Knights made their coach very happy in their 94-71 demolition of Jose Rizal University at the resumption of the 12th Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup at the Filoil Flying V Center Friday.

“I think we are 80-percent ready for the coming NCAA season,” said Napa.  “We are on schedule; we are just waiting for the season to open.”

The Letran Squires were not as lucky though as they bowed to Nazareth School of National University in Juniors play, 76-66.
