Top Philippine teams gear up for Hong Kong dragon boatfest
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines will field in another crack roster of teams in the ninth Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival next month with the Cebu-based Philippine Accessibility Disability Services, Inc. (PADS)-1 and the Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team 2 looking to duplicate their 1-2 finish last year.
Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and co-organized by the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association (HKCDBA), the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival will return from June 22-24 June at the Central Harbourfront and Victoria Harbour.
The three-day event will also feature fun-filled competitions, such as food trucks serving local delicacies, beer fest, and a lot of music and entertainment, guaranteeing a variety of great summer fun for the participants and visitors.

The CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races are one of the key highlights of the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival with over 4,500 athletes from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, the Philippines and the US, among others, vying for top honors in the ultimate dragon boat showdown.
Teams from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area will also be joining this year’s edition to compete for the newly introduced “Greater Bay Area Trophy.”
