Harmie Constantino eyes 2nd match play crown

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Harmie Constantino primes up for a crack at another match play title as she heads the early roster of participants in the 2018 Philippine Junior Amateur Match Play Golf Championship beginning May 14 at Riviera Golf and Country Club’s Langer course in Silang, Cavite.

Constantino bested Mikha Fortuna to claim the Phl Am Open match play diadem last month at Orchard with the many-time national team mainstay looking for another championship in next week’s event for players 17-years-old-and-below.

The organizing National Golf Association of the Philippines said list-up ends today. For details, call NGAP at telefax (02) 706-5926 or email [email protected] or at Riviera Golf Club at (02) 888-9089 or 0956-8821149. Fee is pegged at P3,000 for local participants and P4,000 for foreigners, inclusive of one practice round.

The top 32 in the boys’ side and top 16 in the girls section after two rounds of stroke play will advance to the knockout phase of the annual event sponsored by the MVP Sports Foundation and held as part of the PLDT Group National Amateur Golf Tour.

Others in the fold are Tomi Arejola, Laurea Duque, Sofia Legaspi, Arnie Tanguines, Mariel Tee and Koreans Jang Yun Ji and Kim Seo Young.

Paolo Wong and Pierre Ticzon, on the other hand, lead the cast in the boys’ side along with Matthew Abalos, Kristoffer Arevalo, Leandro Bagtas, Paolo Barro and Vince Floro.
