WATCH: Ricci Rivero looking forward to playing vs La Salle
MANILA, Philippines – Used to playing for the De La Salle Green Archers, Ricci Rivero will have his first crack at taking them on when the Filoil summer league resumes this Friday.
Rivero, who spent two years with the Taft-based crew, was an integral cog in its offense in the previous UAAP season.
The Green Archers, who won the men's basketball tournament championship the season prior, fell short against archrivals Ateneo de Manila University. But within that campaign, an improved form of Rivero was in full display.
He went on to snare the Most Improved Player plum, and the nod of both spectators and the league in performances that almost always came with highlight reels.
"I'm looking forward to it," Rivero, who parted ways with De La Salle earlier this month, said.
