The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Fancied Petron and F2 Logistics expect a tougher outing against Smart and Generika-Ayala, respectively, as the second round of the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix begins at the Baliuag Star Arena in Baliuag, Bulacan today.

The Blaze Spikers hope to pick up where they left off following a sweep of the first round as they face the winless Giga Hitters in the 4 p.m. opener while the Cargo Movers, who finished with a 6-1 card, take on the Lifesavers in the 6 p.m. main game of the tournament sponsored by Isuzu and UCPB Gen with ESPN5 as official broadcast partner.

Earlier, Baliuag City Mayor Ferdinand Estrella will grace a volleyball clinic together with the Blaze Spikers and Giga Hitters at Marian College Baliuag.

As the top team, Petron tows Cocolife, Sta. Lucia and Smart in Pool A while F2 Logistics heads Pool B that includes Foton, Cignal and Generika-Ayala.
