F2 Logistics primes up for 2nd round vs Generika-Ayala
MANILA, Philippines — F2 Logistics hopes to keep its win run going heading to the next round as it clashes with struggling Generika-Ayala today at the close of its first-round campaign in the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Gametime is at 7 p.m. with the Cargo Movers shooting for their fourth straight victory and sixth overall against a loss to formally claim the second spot in the tournament sponsored by Isuzu and UCPB Gen with ESPN5 as official broadcast partner.
Smart, meanwhile, hopes to avert a winless first round stint as it collides with Sta. Lucia Realty in the 4:15 p.m. match of the tournament backed by Senoh, Mikasa, Asics, LGR and Grand Sport as technical sponsors.
Powerhouse Petron took the No. 1 spot with a sweep of the elims and will lead Pool A in the next round along with the Nos. 3, 6 and 8 teams.
F2 Logistics, on the other hand, will head Pool B along with the Nos. 4, 5 and 7 squads.
But the third to seventh spots remain a toss-up among Cocolife (4-3), Cignal (3-3), Sta. Lucia (2-3), Foton (2-4) and Generika-Ayala (1-4), making the last two playdates of the first round crucial.
F2 Logistics coach Arnold Laniog knows their campaign is still far from over.
