Manny Pacquiao confirms June fight in Malaysia

MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao has confirmed reports that his next fight will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June.

“Definitely, I will fight in Malaysia this June,” Pacquiao told ABS-CBN upon his arrival in Manila from General Santos City yesterday morning.

There’s been a lot of speculation that past weeks whether Pacquiao would bite Bob Arum’s offer for him to fight in the undercard of the welterweight title clash between Jeff Horn and Terence Crawford in April.

Pacquiao had other things in mind.

The eight-division champion who’s turning 40 in December said he felt insulted by the offer – he being a side attraction.
