Batang Gilas' AJ Edu to join NBA's 'Basketball Without Borders' camp in LA

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-Nigerian AJ Edu will join the fourth annual Basketball Without Borders Global Camp.
Edu is one of the top 65 boys from 36 countries chosen by the NBA who will travel to Los Angeles on February 16 as part of the NBA All-Star weekend.
The 18-year-old Batang Gilas prospect will take part in the camp that will include a variety of activities on and off the court.
The program will include movement efficiency, positional skill development, shooting and skills competition, 5-on-5 games, and daily life skills seminars focusing on health, leadership and communication.
Five-time All-Star Al Horford, 2018 All-Star Goran Dragic, Indiana's Domantas Sabonis, Brooklyn's Timofey Mozgov and the LA Clippers' Sam Dekker will serve as coaches in the camp.
BWB is the NBA and FIBA's global basketball development and community outreach program with the first camp taking place in 2001.
It has produced NBA players like Lauri Markkanen, Jamal Murray and Frank Ntilikina.
