Cocolife continues recruiting spree, sign Klisura, Milton as imports

MANILA, Philippines -- The ink on Moro Branislav’s contract has yet to dry up but Cocolife already made another major recruiting coup.

The Asset Managers formally secured the services of prolific imports Sara Klisura and Taylor Milton, making them a force to be reckoned with when the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix fires off this February.

Cocolife team official Joshua Ylaya announced the signing, saying that the two power imports have what it takes to help them reach the finals.

Klisura, in fact, made a mark when she shattered the league scoring record when she torched a tough-defending squad in F2 Logistics for 41 points in an out-of-town match in the recent Grand Prix.

On the other hand, Milton is a power-hitting lefty winger who is not only capable of lighting up the scoreboard but also brilliant in the defensive end.

Ylaya said with Klisura and Milton on the court and Branislav at the bench, the possibilities are endless for the rising Asset Managers.

He, however, added that they no longer intend to exercise their option for a third import as their libero in national team member Denden Lazaro can stand toe to toe against her foreign counterparts.

“Sara and Taylor are two of the best players who played here last conference,” said Ylaya, whose wards emerged with a semifinal finish in the Grand Prix.

“With these outstanding players – and a brilliant coach – on board, we’re confident that we can make a serious run in the next Grand Prix. Our roadmap to the title is now complete.”

Hopes are high on Klisura, a grizzled international campaigner and a former member of the Serbian juniors national team where Branislav served as one of her coaches.

She said her experience in the PSL and familiarity to local players should now work to her advantage and she’s dead serious in leading the Asset Managers to the title.

“I’m very excited to be back,” said Klisura, whose strong plays and devil-may-care attitude on the court won the hearts of local fans.

“We know that the last I was there, I failed to lead Foton to the title. So I have some ‘unfinished business’ over there. I promise to do everything to help my new team win the championship.”
