Kobe Paras wants Kai Sotto to consider basketball career in US
MANILA, Philippines — Basketball star Kobe Paras has a piece of advice for up and coming talent Kai Sotto.
The 7-foot-1 Sotto is dominating the UAAP juniors division with the Ateneo Blue Eaglets thanks to his height.
Although he still needs to bulk up, Sotto is seen by observers and fans as the future of Philippine basketball.
Paras, however, thinks the prospect should explore other options, specifically outside of the country.
"Hopefully one day Kai may make a mature decision to continue his basketball career here in the states so that he won't get rotten and brain(washed) in Manila," he tweeted on Friday.
I was 15 years old when I moved out here in LA.

Like Sotto, Paras generated a lot of buzz when he played for the La Salle Greenies in the NCAA.
Naturally, schools and universities tried to lure him in the collegiate ranks.
But he packed his bags and flew to US. He committed to play for the UCLA but withdrew.
Paras later on signed with the Creighton University Bluejays, where he played for one season. He then sat out a year after transferring to Cal State Northridge.
