Dasmariñas paces Batang Pinoy chess

VIGAN, Ilocos Sur  , Philippines  —   Daniel Quizon, Kylen Joy Mordido and Michael Concio flashed top form as the Dasmariñas, Cavite bets dominated the first four rounds of chess in the Luzon leg of the 2017 Batang Pinoy at the Baluarte Function Hall here yesterday.

Quizon downed Eivanne Jacob Cruz to notch his fourth straight win and seize the solo lead in the boys’ 15-and-under division while Mordido trounced Aleck Saniego to share the lead with Ma. Elayza Villa, who bested Chelo Cheska Camus, also with four points, in the girls’ 15-U category.

Concio trampled Allan Hilario to join Jan Labog, who defeated Wycliffe Aromin, on top of the boys’ 12-U, also at four points.
