MANILA, Philippines — The San Miguel Beermen's quest for a grand slam came to an end after suffering a 104-84 quarterfinals defeat against Ginebra in the PBA Governor's Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Wednesday.
San Miguel could have pulled off its second franchise grandslam after achieving the same feat in 1989 under head coach Norman Black.
No use in crying over spilled beer...er milk now for the Beermen as they said they will use the sorry loss as motivation in their future campaigns.
They also sent out message of thanks to all of their supporters.
Sorry to disappoint you guys. But we tried hard and fell short!! I hope we made you guys proud this season! It was a great season!! Thank u!
