Rich Mango Tee starts tomorrow at Alabang

MANILA, Philippines - Four premium cars, two golf carts and a horde of other items worth at least P7 million are up for grabs in the 33rd staging of the Mango Tee, the member-guest event of the Alabang Country Club starting tomorrow.

At stake as hole-in-one prizes in the event presented by Petron and Smart are a Toyota Corolla Altis plus P100,000 worth of fuel from Petron on No. 6, a Mitsubishi Montero Sports on No. 8, a Chevrolet Sail plus P100,000 cash on No. 12 and a Mercedes-Benz C 180 on No. 15. Yamaha and Texas Eagle carts are also up for grabs on designated holes.

A full field of 800 players are competing in the event which has Turf Company, Pepsi, Pacific Links, Life Oil, Go Sports, Hanes, Chivas/Glenlivet, Food Details, Pacsports, K&G Company, Skyroam, Straits Wine, Mizuno, Srixon as major sponsors.

At the awards ceremony on Saturday, assorted golf items and appliances will be raffled off topped by a Yamaha Golf Cart Electric 2-seater.

The traditional hitting of ceremonial balls and cocktails for sponsors, the club’s board of directors headed by chairman Roberto Pangan and president Randolph Ang and Mango Tee committee ushered in the six-day competition yesterday.

Hole sponsors are G&W Clubshare, GG&A Clubshare, Golfers Clubshare, City Service, Eight Arms, Security Bank, Maritime, Safe Seas, Prudential Brokerage, CTBC Bank, Hunter Buster Pest Control, Air 21, EC Pay, Standard Insurance, Comcare, Hidden Valley, Entom Pest Control, GEO STAR, BMW, Unionbank, KAT Inc., Ayala Land, Infini8 Lab, Honma, 357 Boracay, Wendys, Omnisource, Suarez & Son’s and Reiseling Boracay.

Participating sponsors are Filinvest Alabang Inc., Filinvest – Enclave, AR VIRGO, RCBC Bank, CEAM and Federal Land.
