LOOK: UST leads ushering in of UAAP Season 79

MANILA, Philippines — Simple and stunning.

That was how UAAP host University of Santo Tomas wanted it. And boy did spectators get it.

The festivities kicked off with a simple parade from the Growling Tigers' lair in the UST campus in Manila. The march culiminated at the central Plaza Mayor, just in front of its iconic Main Building.

And they say it ain't a UST celebration without the fireworks. True enough, UST put the Santo Tomas touch before proceeding to a night of concert featuring Sud and Silent Sanctuary.
