Prolific Pacquiao: PH's finest punching through the decade

Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – We are now at the calm before Manny Pacquiao's meeting with the "Desert Storm."

With the possibility of this Sunday's bout as the Pacman's last, we examine how the legend of the eight-division champion came to be.

In this infographic prepared by PhilStar.com's Jonathan Asuncion, we look back at the past decade where Pacquiao entered the ring for 18 times. Included in this visualization are the purses, results and the details of each of his fight, all condensed from Forbes.com, BoxRec.com and our very own archives.

Pacquiao, who is the only man who have snared eight belts in different divisions, is the only boxer to pull off such a feat. Five of those belts came at the expense of his archenemy Juan Manuel Marquez (2008), David Diaz (also in 2008), Ricky Hatton (2009), Miguel Cotto (also in 2009), and Antonio Margarito (2010).

Check out how he punched through his way to boxing lore starting from 2006.

And oh, if our beloved boxing hero indeed retires after this fight, consider this graphic as a token for you reader-fans. -- Denison Rey Dalupang with Gerald Guerrero, contributor
