Karipasan slated Feb. 8 in Batangas
MANILA, Philippines - More than 3,000 runners from around Batangas and Metro Manila are expected to answer the starting gun for the Karipasan 2015: The seventh Batangas Run for Wellness on Feb. 8 in Malvar, Batangas.
The event will feature runs in the 3K, 5K, and 10K distances starting at 6 p.m. in front of the Lima Park Pavilion inside the Lima Technology Center.
Two other events – the Zumba Marathon and the Batangas Waiters Race involving HRM students and professionals in mixed sprint and relay competitions – will be held simultaneously.
According to organizers First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) and Lima Park Hotel, proceeds from the Karipasan 2015 will go to the education development programs of Bato Balani Foundation, Inc.
Bato Balani focuses on teacher training, school and library assistance, and other special involvements aimed at uplifting Philippine education.
