Informatics-A, St. Benilde top elims in Sandugo-CAL

MANILA, Philippines - Informatics-A foiled St. Benilde, 58-51, to gain a share of the lead at the close of the first round elims in the men’s division of the Sandugo-Collegiate Athletic League.

Informatics-A and CSB both posted 6-1 cards to pace the field while Trinity University of Asia routed Emilio Aguinaldo College, 84-63, for third with a 5-2 mark.

Colegio de San Lorenzo is in fourth at 4-3 followed by EAC (3-3) and University of Asia & the Pacific (1-5) and Informatics-B and Don Bosco Technical College, which both have 1-6 cards.

The Lady Blazers, meanwhile, matched the De la Salle University-Dasmarinas’ 6-1 card to likewise share the lead in the distaff side of the tournament sponsored by PC Gilmore, Philippine Sports Commission, Gatorade, Phiten, Uratex, Primovit Multivitamins, and Platinum Fitness.

CSB swept its last two games to move on top, beating UST, 55-49, and Adamson University, 71-40.

Adamson is in third with a 4-3 slate followed by UST (2-6) and DBTC (0-7).
