Limang pelikula ni Eddie Garcia, mapapanood sa Udine filmfest sa Italy
Kahapon ang second death anniversary ng iconic actor na si Eddie Garcia. Ang bilis lang.
At kasabay nito ang announcement ng Film Development Council of the Philippines ng Eddie Garcia: Life as a Film Epic Special Tribute Section sa gaganaping 23rd Udine Far East Film Festival sa Italy.
At kasama sa limang pelikula ni Eddie Garcia sa ipalalabas sa nasabing filmfest sa Italy ang Pagdating sa Dulo by Direk Ishmael Bernal (1971); Bwakaw by Jun Robles Lana (2012); Rainbow’s Sunset by Joel Lamangan (2018); Shadows, a short film by Raymond Red (2000); and Sinasamba Kita directed by Eddie Garcia (1982).
Sixty-three films naman mula sa 11 countries (Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Macau, Myanmar and the Philippines) ang kasali sa nasabing international filmfest.
Kahapon din ay in-announce ng FDCP headed by Chair Liza Diño na eight Filipino films ang magiging bahagi rito sa official selection which will run from June 24 to July 2.
Ang Fan Girl starring Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon and Anak ng Macho Dancer ni Direk Joel Lamangan will represent the country as competition films and Grace Simbulan’s A is for Agustin will be screened in the non-competition Documentaries section.
