Direk Floy world-class ang ginawa sa Opening ceremony ng 30th SEA Games
Grabe si Floy Quintos, ang dating direktor namin sa Startalk. Sobrang proud ako para kay Floy dahil sa opening ceremony na ginawa niya para sa 30th SEA Games.
Si Floy ang direktor ng SEA Games Opening ceremony na talagang world class at kung hindi lang napabalita ang mga kapalpakan noong una, talagang papalakpak ka nang todo.
Kahanga-hanga ang kalderong ginto at ang spectacular fireworks display sa paligid ng Philippine Arena noong Sabado.
Nakakaiyak at marami ang napaiyak sa makapanindig-balahibo na paglabas sa stage ng Philippine athletes habang tumutugtog ang Manila.
Ang saya-saya ng mga athlete ng Philippine Arena audience na sumasayaw, pati si President Rodrigo Duterte at Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa na feel na feel ang music kaya teary-eyed ako at nanindig ang balahibo ko.
Bongga ang Sultan of Brunei dahil ipinakita nito ang suporta sa delegation nila na kinabibilangan ng kanyang anak na prinsipe na isa sa mga heartthrob ng SEA Games.
Very festive ang atmosphere sa Philippine Arena na punumpuno ng mga tao at masaya rin sa New Clark, ang venue ng torch lighting sa kalderong ginto.
Tunay ka, sana hindi puro visuals lang ang SEA Games. Sana nga, maayos ang lahat para smooth ang maging takbo ng palaro mula umpisa hanggang matapos.
Sana wala nang pumalpak, We Win As One, we work as one. Laban, ang ganda ng Pilipinas! Salute.
Isang malaking hamon at mabigat na trabaho ang tinanggap ni Floy bilang direktor ng opening ceremony ng 30th SEA Games pero may paliwanag siya na dapat i-share sa lahat.
“Friends have asked me why I accepted this job and why I --- and the creative team I brought on---worked so hard for a whole year, despite the uncertainties and the anxieties, the intrigue and the stress.
“One answer is that we saw the SEA Games Opening Ceremony as chance to showcase aspects of our culture that many modern Filipinos know little about or take for granted, buried under our own divisive neglect and lack of concern.
“I felt very strongly that the show should be inclusive of our Animist, Islamic and Pre- hispanic peoples. All three represented in a series of Warrior dances that trace the vigour , physicality and skill that is in the DNA of every great Filipino athlete. Thus, the opening suite, “UGAT NG ATING LAKAS/ The Roots of our Strength” is a series of “Power” dances from the Bagobo, the Kalinga, the Maguindanao and the pre- hispanic Bisayans. Since physical power and skill isn’t always manifested in forceful and aggressive movements, why not cap the suite with that most controlled and demanding of Maranao courtly dances, the Singkil?” bahagi ng post ni Direk Floy.
