Regine, biyuda sa Shirley
Magbibida si Regine Velasquez sa pelikulang Yours Truly, Shirley para sa taunang Cinema One Originals Film Festival na mapapanood simula November 7 hanggang 17 sa mga piling sinehan.
Gagampanan ni Asia’s Songbird ang karakter ng isang biyuda sa nasabing proyekto. “If you break it down, the story is really sad because she hasn’t gotten over the death of her husband, but this is for the other side, the funny side. Because how you deal with mourning, right? Especially if you’ve been with the person your entire life,” nakangiting pahayag ni Regine.

Claudia, wala sa planong mag-arista
Kahit may mga alok para umarte sa harap ng kamera ay hindi naman daw nakikita ni Claudia Barretto na magiging artista siya katulad ng nakatatandang kapatid na si Julia Barretto. Pagsusulat ng kanta at ang pag-awit ang gustong gawin ng pangalawang anak nina Marjorie Barretto at Dennis Padilla. “You don’t stay away from acting. It wasn’t a conscious decision. I wasn’t like, ‘I don’t wanna act. It was never like that. I like writing songs. I like to write my feelings, make it expressive. It’s like passion, it’s just a natural path for me. It’s all organic. It wasn’t never because I just want to avoid anything. It’s just it’s really my dream to be a singer. I’ll never say never. I’m open to all possibilities. It’s Just as of right now my biggest passion is really music. I just want to do my best at that,” paliwanag ni Claudia.
Samantala, isang adbokasiya ang inilunsad ni Claudia online na may kinalaman sa mental health. Malalaman din dito ang ilan sa mga pinagdaanan ng dalaga sa kanyang personal na buhay. “It’s called Mind Games. Mind games is mental awareness health campaign. It’s online and it’s gonna be promoted through the use of arts, specifically music. We’ve been working on content, music and bringing awareness to mental health. I’m really passionate about mental health. I want to be a voice to promote. I want to raise awareness on that so that I can reach out to people. I’ve had my own experiences people will learn more about when we release more content,” pagbabahagi niya.
