GMA mitubag na sa DOLE

CEBU, Philippines — Nihatag na og tubag ang GMA Network sa findings sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) alang sa tulo ka safety precautions nga wala matud pa natuman  sa  TV network kalabot sa  aksidenteng gikalambigitan sa  veteran actor nga si Eddie Garcia.

Kahinumdoman nga niadtong  June 8, 2019,  nasabod sa  cable wire ang beteranong  aktor atol sa  taping sa  Kapuso  series nga  Rosang Agimat.

Tungod sa maong insidente,  na-comatose si Eddie ug nakabsan kini sa iyang kinabuhi niadtong  June 20, 2019.

Sa statement sa DOLE kaniadto,  tulo ka safety precautions ang  wala mabuhat sa GMA  nga ubos sa  Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) sa Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Law.

Wala matud pa mosumiter ang  network ug ang  contractor  og  report sa insidente sulod sa  24 oras; wala pud kini  safety officer; ug wala kini mo -provide og first aide professional sa set .

Suma pa sa statement sa  Kapuso Network, “  GMA noted that the IRR, as worded, states that such a case of ‘work accidents resulting in disabling injury or death’ is an exception to the requirement that a report be made within 24 hours from the occurrence.

Nonetheless, GMA submitted the report within one (1) month from the accident which occurred last June 8, 2019.”

Gipadayag usab sa GMA-7 nga duna sila’y igong  safety officers alang sa  mga empleyado sa  network.

Matud pa niini nga ang  “workplace” nga covered sa OSH Law nagtuki lamang sa mga  lugar  nga regular nga gitrabahoan sa mga empleyado ug  dili apil ang temporaryong  lokasyon sa trabaho.

Gitataw usab sa  TV network nga dunay mga  production staff sa lokasyon nga dunay kaalam  sa first aid ug  basic life support.
