Maine sa tinatamasang kasikatan: Walang nag-akalang posible ito

MANILA, Philippines —Inamin ni Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza na nagpatigil siya sa kaniyang driver sa EDSA upang pagmasdan at kuhaang ng larawan ang kaniyang kauna-unahang billboard sa EDSA.

Sa kaniyang Instagram post ay ikinuwento niya na matagal na niyang pinapangarap ang magkaroon ng billboard at ngayon ay natupad na ito.

"I still remember saying 'Sana talaga magkaron din ako ng billboard ko someday!' as a kid. Passing by tons of billboards along the expressway, I used to rest my head on the car window while gaping at those gracefully photographed celebrities/models," nakasaad sa caption ng kaniyang post.

Isa lamang ang billboard niya sa mga naabot niyang pangarap. Kaliwa’t kanan na rin ang kaniyang endorsement at TV commercials mula nang mag-click sa publiko ang kanilang tambalan ni Alden Richards.

“I was dreaming to see myself on one of those advertisements one day; but back then, I knew that it will NEVER EVER come to reality. (Papa'no naman kasi 'di ba?) Until all of these happened..n nobody knew that my 'fantasies' would come true. Nobody thought it was possible," sabi pa ng 20-anyos na “Eat Bulaga” host.

"I couldn't help but ask my driver to stop in front of this Coca-Cola billboard (along EDSA) so I could take a photo of it, but before that, I took a couple of seconds to just stare at it.. then I found myself whispering... 'Eto na...'eto na s'ya."

Bukod sa endorsements ay kabilang din siya sa Metro Manila Film Festival kung saan kasama niya sina Alden, Vic Sotto at Ai Ai Delas Alas para sa pelikulang “My Bebe Love.”

Dati nang nag-post si Maine tungkol sa kaniyang isyu sa self-esteem bago pumasok sa showbiz.

"I used to be a girl with a poor self esteem—I actually think I still am. I never believed in my capability of doing things; it could be just me being a pessimist about almost everything but the thing is, I never really believed in myself," caption sa hiwalay niyang Instagram post.
