Dated March 31 ang e-mail that I got from a certain ‘x may,’ obviously a big fan of John Lapuz (either of two things: it could be a ‘pakawala’ of John, or John himself!) na nagsasabing huwag ko raw gamitin ang kolumn na ito para siraan siya, na gumawa raw ako ng sarili kong pangalan nang hindi ko ginagamit si John, na naiinggit lang daw ako kay John, na baka rin daw bitter ako dahil inagaw ni John ang dyowa ko?

FYI (For Your Idiocy?), hindi ko inaaway si John, what do I get? I have nothing against your idol, have his photo like a stampita tucked inside your walltet, I don’t care. Commission a sculptor to make a bust out of him, sabitan mo pa ng sampaguita, the least I care.

But how I wish, x may, you were a GMA insider. FYI, ililibre kitang magkape sa Figaro sa fourth floor ng GMA Main Bldg., kung saan bawat makasalamuha ko even lauded me when I had written about John sa pagtira niya sa isang GMA 7 director! X ray, don’t be too protective of someone you hardly know!

On the real TV host, si Arnelli Ignacio whose career has been revived by the same network that created him, ang GMA 7. Managed by Annabelle Rama, muling nagbabalik si Arnelli via Gobingo, the interactive game show na sinimulan din ng naturang istasyon many years ago.

There isn’t much change in the mechanics, only may tsansa na ang home viewers to participate. Tatlong manlalaro ang maglalaban-laban for the first three rounds, whoever emerges with the most number of bingo numbers gets to play in the jackpot round.

Nagkaroon ng mock game sa launch ng Gobingo at the Broadway Centrum last Thursday, and to complete the total look, Arnelli was clad in a polo shirt with design of bingo cards on it. Before the game proper started, in-acknowledge muna ng host ang ilang staff who were present in his trademark brand of comedy, na hindi nakakairita, X May!
