Papel ng mga titser sa 4Ps inalis na ng DepEd
MANILA, Philippines — Upang mabawasan ang workload ng mga guro ay inalis ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang trabaho ng mga guro sa pagmo-monitor sa mga estudyanteng benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Sa liham na pinadala ni DepEd Undersecretary at chief of staff Epimaco Densing III kay DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo, ipinabatid nitong hindi na gagawin ng mga titser ang pagsusumite ng report sa DSWD hinggil sa attendance ng mga mag-aaral na benepisyaryo ng 4Ps.
“[W]e shall no longer allow our teachers to facilitate the monitoring of 4Ps in their respective institutions of learning. This is in line with the Department of Education’s thrust that teachers shall focus on teaching,” ayon sa liham na may petsang Oktubre 20, 2022.
“As such, we intend to advise at the soonest possible time our teachers to turn over these tasks to your personnel,” dagdag pa sa liham.
Binanggit ni Densing na sa ilalim ng Republic Act Number 11310 o 4Ps Act, hindi saklaw ng batas ang mga DepEd personnel sa pag-monitor at pagpapadala ng accomplish reports ng mga estudyanteng benepisyaryo ng 4Ps.
