NTC rerebyuhin ang block time deals ng broadcast networks

Angie dela Cruz - Pang-masa

“Authorized radio and television broadcast entities, its management and board of directors shall be solidary liable with the block timer for any violation committed by the block timer arising from the content or programs under the block time agreements,” ang nakasaad sa memorandum ng NTC.

“We believe it is the station’s prerogative to choose the type of programs they will adopt whether it is station produced, co-produced with another party or [through] blocktime with 3rd party. We believe NTC has no jurisdiction over content,” ayon kay KBP President Herman Basbano sa isang kalatas.

“Our position should have been heard before the issuance of this order on blocktime. Nonetheless [we] will present our opposition and our position in the NTC hearing [which] was reportedly scheduled on July 11,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
