Esperon sa Makabayan bloc: Tunay na kulay at ipinaglalaban ipakita n’yo!

MANILA, Philippines — “Ipakita ang inyong tunay na kulay at kung ano ang inyong ipinag­lalaban.”

Ito ang hamon ni National Security Council Director General Hermogenes Esperon sa mga miyembro ng progressive groups partikular na ang Makabayan bloc at handa umano siya na ipakita ang mga ebidensiya na sila ay front ng CPP-NPA.

Sinabi ni Esperon, vice chairman ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), sumusuporta siya sa grupo ni spokesperson Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy at Lt. General Antonio Parlade Jr. laban sa mga nag-aakusa sa kanila na may kinalaman sa red tagging.

 “I wish to make it clear that I am providing numerous pieces of evidence and information that will expose the true nature of the CPP-NPA, and its various front organizations, primarily among them the Makabayan bloc.We are ta­king this opportunity to inform the public of the deceit and treachery that they have continuously employed on order to gain sympathy for their cause,” pahayag ni Esperon.

“We are accused of “red-tagging” front organizations by their very own mouthpieces. To them I pose these questions: Why have they not questioned Jose Maria Sison when he himself identified these organizations as part of the bigger organ of the Communist Party of the Philippines? Sison was specific when he named BAYAN, Gabriela, Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), League of Filipino Students, and Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas as well as the Kilusang Mayo Uno as part of his national democratic revolution,” dagdag ni Esperon.

Binigyang diin ni Esperson na siya ay nakaramdam ng disappointment sa panukala ng Makabayan bloc na alisin ang budget ng NTF-ELCAC na may halagang P19 bilyon sa taong 2021 na may la­yong walisin ang NPA at underground organizations.- Doris Franche
