50% bawas-presyo sa 87 gamot
MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo kahapon ng Department of Health (DOH) na mababawasan na ng 50% ang presyo ng nasa 87 gamot para sa malulubhang karamdaman tulad ng kanser at maintenance medicines.
Ang Executive Order No. 104 ay nagtatakda ng maximum retail price (MRP) sa 87 gamot o 133 formulations. Sakop nito ang mga gamot para sa hypertension, diabetes, breast, colorectal at lung cancers, chronic kidney disease, hika o chornic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
“The DOH has always prioritized the health of every Filipinos in all its policies and decisions. This is amplified now, more than ever, to assist the public from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and protect the vulnerable from further impoverishment,” ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
Inihalimbawa ni Duque ang gamot na insulin glulisine na araw-araw kailangan ng isang diabetic na pasyente na may halagang P818.75 kada pre-filled pen ay magkakahalaga na lamang ng P435.18. Kung senior citizen ang bibili, meron pa siyang 20% diskuwento kaya magiging P336.14 na lamang ang halaga nito.
“In the spirit of Bayanihan, let us not turn our backs on our patients but continue to strive towards providing Filipinos the quality of life they deserve,” dagdag ni Duque.
