LRT-1 Cavite extension, sinimulan na

MANILA, Philippines — Sinimulan nang gawin ang construction ng Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1) Cavite extension. 

Ito ang inihayag kahapon ng pamunuan ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na ang proyekto ay pinaglaanan ng pondo na P64.9 bilyon ng Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC).

“Following completion of ground investigation and foundation design works, the LRMC has started piling works from Dr. Santos Station in Parañaque, where right-of-way has been cleared,” ayon sa DOTr.

Ang Ayala Corporation, Metro Pacific Light Rail Corporation, at Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings ang siyang mamamahala sa kontrata.

Ang LRMC, ang siyang nagpapatakbo ng operations at maintenance ng LRT1 rail system simula pa noong September 2015 sa ilalim ng government’s at private partner.

Ayon sa DOTr, ang LRMC ang siyang res­ponsable sa design, construction, at financing ng Cavite extension, gayundin ang operation at maintenance nito sa oras na matapos ang proyekto.

Inaasahang matatapos at magiging partially ope­ration ang LRT1 extension sa fourth quarter ng 2021.

Ang proyekto ay magdaragdag ng 500,000 to 800,000 kada-araw na pasahero ng LRT-1 na may travel time na 25-minuto mula sa Bac­laran patungo ng Bacoor, Cavite.
