Batangas tanker, 4 pa wagi ng MOS sa COPA Golden Goggle

MANILA, Philippines — Pinamunuan ni Clevic George Daluz ng Batangas ang lima pang tankers para sa Most Outstan­ding Swimmer (MOS) awards matapos manguna sa tatlong event ng kani-kanilang age-group class sa pagtiklop ng COPA-Golden Goggle Leg 1 at 2 kahapon sa Teofilo Yldefonso swimming pool sa Rizal Memorial Sports Center (RMSC) sa Malate, Manila.

Bumandera ang Grade 1 student ng Agustin Ramos Memorial Elementary School sa Balayan sa boys’ 8-yrs class 50-m backstroke sa bilis na 51.03 segundo at sa 100-m breaststroke sa tiyempong 2:01.11.

Naunang nagwagi ang pambato ng Balayan Tigers Swim Team sa 200-m freestyle (3:36.78) sa ope­ning day noong Sabado sa event na suportado ng Speedo, Philippine Sports Commission at MILO.

Ang iba pang triple-gold winners ay sina Marcus Pablo, John Rey Lee,, Samantha Mia Mendoza at Jamie Aica Summer Sy.

Lahat sila ay ku­wa-lipikado para sa Luzon Championship sa Agosto kung saan makakatapat ng mga top swimmers ang mga pambato ng Visayas at Mindanao Regional Championship ng torneo na inorganisa ng Congress of Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (COPA) sa pamumuno ni swimming icon at Batangas 1st District Rep. Eric Buhain.

Wagi si Pablo sa boys’ 7-yrs-class 200-m freestyle (4:14.17), 50-m back (1:00.01) at 100-m breast (2:14.28); habang namuno si Lee sa 9-yrs old 100-m breast (2:10.26), 50-m back (52.33) at 200-m free (3:17.50).

Nanguna si Mendoza sa girls’ 8-yrs. Class 100-m breast (2:13.77); 50-m breast (55.29) at 200-m free (3:23.73) habang bumida si Sy sa girls’ 12-yrs 100-m breast (1:41.87), 50-m back (38.68) at 200-m free (2:43.10).
