PSC makakadiskubre sa Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — Kumpiyansa si Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William “Butch” Ramirez na makakadiskubre sila ng mga bagong track and field athletes mula sa Mindanao.
Ito ay matapos ang paglagda nina Ramirez at University of Mindanao president Dr. Guillermo Torres Jr. sa isang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) para sa pagtatatag at implementasyon ng grassroots sports development sa Mindanao.
“This is an Olympic sport and for the longest time wala na tayong homegrown track and field athlete, we would like to encourage people to get into the sport kasi there are many Filipino talents among us,” ani Ramirez.
Sa ilalim ng MOU ay magbibigay ang PSC sa University of Mindanao ng mga technical at financial support para sa kanilang mga grassroots sports development policies, programs, projects at activities.
Kaugnay nito, magdaraos ang sports agency at ang unibersidad ng Mindanao Invitational Athletics Tournament sa Mayo 30 sa bago nilang track and field facility.
