Paul, Leonard ‘di pa rin lalaro

PHOENIX -- Hindi pa rin maglalaro para sa kani-kanilang koponan sina Suns guard Chris Paul at Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard sa Game Two ng kanilang Western Conference finals series ngayon.

Ito ay dahil nasa ila-lim pa rin ng COVID-19 health and safety protocols ng liga ang 11-time All-Star na si Paul at nagpapagaling naman ng na-sprain na kanang tuhod ang two-time Finals MVP na si Leonard.

Bukod kay Leonard, posible namang hindi maglaro sa Game Two si veteran forward Marcus Morris dahil sa injury sa kanang tuhod.

“Not quite sure of his status, but he’s doing eve-rything in his power to try to be out there,” sabi ni Clippers coach Ty Lue kay Morris.

Sa likod ng unang career triple-double na 40 points, 13 rebounds at 11 assists ni Devin Booker ay tinalo ng Suns ang Clippers, 120-114, sa Game One.

Samantala, unti-unti nang napupuno ang line-up ng USA basketball team para sa darating na 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Kinumpirma nina James Harden ng Brooklyn Nets at big man Bam Adebayo ng Miami Heat na maglalaro sila para sa US men’s national team na magdedepensa ng Olympic gold medal sa Tokyo.

Bukod kina Harden at Adebayo, ang iba pang nagkumpirma ng kanilang intensyong magsuot ng uniporme ng Team USA sa Tokyo Olympics ay sina Kevin Durant ng Nets, Draymond Green ng Golden State Warriors, Bradley Beal ng Washington Wizards, Jayson Tatum ng Boston Celtics, Devin Booker ng Phoenix Suns at Damian Lillard ng Portland Trail Blazers.
