PNVF mamimili na lang sa PVL ng pampuno sa national women’s pool

MANILA, Philippines — May pagkakataon pang makapasok sa national team ang ilang key players na bigong makapunta sa women’s volleyball tryout noong Abril sa Subic.

Ito ay matapos ihayag ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) na pipiliin ang pupuno sa mga nalalabing slots ng national women’s team  sa gaganaping Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference.

Sinabi ni women’s national team head coach Odjie Mamon na may ilang slots na kailangang punuin sa koponan kabilang na ang libero, setter at outside hitter positions. “We definitely need another setter and another libero because the current ones we have on the lineup are young. So we need a veteran libero to beef up the team,” ani Mamon.

Dahil dito, malaki pa ang pag-asa ng bigating women’s volleyball players na sina Alyssa Valdez, Kalei Mau, Rhea Dimaculangan, Kim Fajardo, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Jia Morado at Dawn Macandili na hindi nakadalo sa tryouts. Absent din sina Myla Pablo, Ces Molina, Kat Tolentino, MJ Phillips, Kim Dy, Alleiah Malaluan, Risa Sato, Bea De Leon, Maddie Madayag, Marist Layug, Thea Gagate at Lorene Toring.

May 16 players pa lamang ang nasa pool na sina Jaja Santiago, Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Eya Laure, Mylene Paat, Iris Tolenada, Kamille Cal, Faith Nisperos, Ivy Lacsina, Mhicaela Belen, Dell Palomata, Ria Meneses, Imee Hernandez, Jennifer Nierva at Bernadette Pepito na mga dumalo sa tryout.
