Mindanao leg ng VisMin Cup sinuspindi ng GAB
MANILA, Philippines — Suspindido muna ang opening ng Mindanao leg ng Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup sa susunod na buwan habang hindi pa tapos ang imbestigasyon ng Games and Amusements Board (GAB) sa kontrobersyal na laro sa Visayas leg kamakailan lamang.
Ayon kay GAB chairman Baham Mitra, tatapusin muna nila ang pagrerebyu sa kontrobersiyal n laban ng Siquijor at Lapu-Lapu bago aprubahan ang kasunod na leg ng Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup na kabubukas lamang noong Abril 10.
“We are in the process of investigation and se-riously looking into the allegations of wrongdoing. The board would like to further observe the ongoing Visayas leg before giving a go signal for the other,” ani Mitra. “In the meantime, GAB is reviewing the official reports of its field officers in the bubble and that of the league to determine the administrative liability of the licensees as well as the possibility of proceeding with criminal charges if warranted by the circumstances.”
Nakatakda sana sa Mayo 20 sa Dipolog City ang opening ng VisMin Mindanao leg na binubuo ng siyam na koponan.
Kasali sa naturang leg ang Basilan, Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga, Roxas, Sindangan, Pagadian, Tawi-Tawi, Valencia at Ozamis.
Magpapataw ng sari-ling sanction ang GAB bilang regulatory body ng professional sports.
