MANILA, Philippines — Hindi ininda ni world No.1 Orencio James De Los Santos ang masamang pakiramdam para masungkit ang gintong medalya sa men’s seniors individual kata event ng Golden League Karate eTournament Series #3.
Nagawa pa ring mailatag ni De Los Santos ang kanyang world-class performance upang makuha ang ginto sa pamamagitan ng 25.7-24.3 panalo laban kay Alfredo Bustamante ng Amerika sa championship round.
Ito ang ika-23 gintong medalya ni De Los Santos sa online tournaments.
“In the final round, I faces USA. I have to admit that I was feeling under the weather during the finals, but I still performed and ended up winning my 23rd gold,” ani De Los Santos.
Umabante sa finals si De Los Santos matapos patumbahin si Domont Matias Moreno ng Switzerland sa semifinals (25.4-23.9).
Nakakuha ng bye ang Pinoy bet sa quarterfinals.
