Protocols para sa balik-training ng mga Olympic hopefuls inihahanda

MANILA, Philippines — Umaasa ang Chef De Mission ng Team Philippines para sa 2021 Olypmic Games na matatapos na ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang pagrerebisa sa isinumiteng health at safety protocols para sa pagbabalik-ensayo ng mga Olympic hopefuls.

Ayon kay Mariano ‘Nonong’ Araneta, naisumite na ng mga National Sports Associations (NSAs) na may mga Olympic asirants ang kanilang mga gagamiting guidelines para sa training at conditiong ng kanilang mga atleta sa gitna ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“It has been submitted already to PSC. So PSC now is looking at all these safety protocols kasi pinapa-review pa nila iyan sa mga doctors nila eh. May mga consultant silang doctors. So they are going to review that,” ani Araneta kahapon sa webcast edition ng Phi-lippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.

“Ang mangyayari nga-yon, they will provide the protocols for ULTRA (PhilSports Complex) as venue for resumption of training for the athletes. I think they can finish it by this week,” dagdag pa nito.

Qualified na sa Tok-yo Olympics sina pole vaulter Ernest John Obie-na (nagsasanay sa Italy), gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo (nagte-training sa Japan) at ang mga boxers na sina Eumir Felix Marcial at Irish Magno, ilalagay sa bubble training ng PSC sa PhilSports kasama ang iba pang Olympic hopefuls.
